Tactical Evasion = Damaging Knowledge?

Boy, does this smell. Henry Waxman (D-CA), in the course of his investigativ e hearing into the death of Pat Tillman, issued a subpoena for General Philip Kensinger. Kensinger was censured this week because he deceived Army Investigator s looking into Tillman’s death.

“General Kensinger refused to appear today,” Chairman Waxman said in his opening statement. “His attorney informed the committee that General Kensinger would not testify voluntarily, and if issued a subpoena would seek to evade service. The committee did issue a subpoena to General Kensinger earlier this week, but US Marshals have been unable to locate or serve him.” — Raw Story

So basically, the general is on the lam rather than tell Congress the truth. He’s playing Jason Bourne with no integrity and a crappy script. We’ve become a nation of liars. How pathetic.

Pat Tillman was a fine person. When you contrast that to everything that’s happened surrounding his death, America looks like a gang banger whose loyalties shift with the wind and the price willing to be paid.

We used to be better. If Kensinger has an iota of integrity (to his country, not his infrastructu re), he’d go see Waxman and spill it. Stop being afraid of the most unpopular president ever. His reign of terror is waning. The time for truth is now.
